Aphex's Themes has reached 1year of its existence, a year in which we accomplished a lot, we changed the theme site originally had, we also changed the content management system on which site functions, we expanded the range of items visitors can download for free from CMS themes to PSD files and HTML templates, but most importantly...we made a lot of friends
Many people remember we started out as a subdomain on pierdtimp.ro, time in which we released a number of XOOPS themes, when site had a considerable number of steady visitors I decided it was time for the subdomain to become a standalone site dedicated entirely to design around XOOPS.
After the split up in X's development, along came ImpressCMS which started to take the things to another level. As site was originally installed on xoops and I liked both systems i needed to decide which one will serve as base for our website as I was working on an update few months ago, I figured that it was only natural to build it on ICMS and so I did...why I did it, well I had my reasons.
I was already making themes for a CMS and as it wasn't much difference from building a HTML standalone template I thought of giving the visitors and that, so a new download category where they would be available was created. Currently there are only 3 HTML templates available (Blue Sky, BW-Fixed and WOW )but I promise the number of them will increase soon.
Either making themes or simply HTML templates, work always starts in Photoshop, so I thought of giving the visitors access to source files which they can download and modify as they please and with that they could also learn the techniques of doing other, better things.
I'm also very very pleased to announce you that Aphex's themes has been recently added to a number of galleries that contain sites with outstanding design, and those galleries are as follows:
-CSS Count
-Inspiration Up
-CSS Gallery
-CSS Top Websites
-XHTML/CSS Website Gallery
-CSS Nature
-CSS Arts
In the end I would like to thank both ICMS and XOOPS for giving me a platform for designs that i make and I would like to assure our visitors that Aphex's Themes will continuously evolve and will try to offer its visitors access to some of the best CMS themes available.
