In loving memory of Marcello

In memoriam
I was so thrilled some years ago when Marcello was asking people for input on his module in work at the time (Yogurt), but most of all that he also asked for my input about its design and we had endless chats over MSN about the module and not only.
I consider my self on of the privileged people to have had a chance and collaborate with him, even if it was briefly because he was so ahead of his times with XOOPS module development and understood the true meaning of evolution of it.
Sadly, we lost him two days ago to cancer and even tho i lost a parent to cancer, I won't pretend to know what his family is going thru because its impossible to know what it means to loose a love one.

Rest in Peace Marcello!

Your work, love and dedication will always be remembered

Is going to be a fast year

Fast Code
I'm usually lazy, what am i saying usual...i'm always lazy but this year started good at least from the coding aspect as I just finished February theme and boy you're going to like this one .
Has the most styles yet, 6 to be exact and it has a cool little ajax thing...trust me, you'll like how simple yet modern it looks and again bringing something for the first time in xoops, icms, xcube, starting with this theme we'll be using sprites where appropriate.

Have fun and enjoy your year!

One step further

HTML 5
Fact is we were among the first who said NO to tables , among the first who said YES to 3rd party libraries in our themes, the first who said NO to IE6, we decided to take another step, so... starting with this month, where possible and necessary some themes will be HTML 5 documents and of course they will validate as such

That's all

Controling Mac from Ipod Touch/ Iphone

 Keymote
Bought an app for my iPhone few days ago and i simply can't stop playing with it and nope is not a game :) and i thought that some of you might find it useful too

App is called Keymote and a complete description of it can be found at its dev site right HERE .

It basically functions as a remote allowing you to control your mac via WI-FI, has some predefined commands which include Firefox, iTunes,Apple Mail, Front Row, Coda, etc and it has a built-in shortcut editor that lets you add new shortcuts of your favorite applications. App costs $3.99 and it can be found in the app store right HERE (iTunes Link).

Although it would've been nicer to have it over bluetooth is good enough for me and over WI-FI, to pair your iPhone/iPod Touch with your mac you'll need the "Keymote Receiver" which can be found HERE

Changing places

I moved so many times I lost count and now, when I thought stability can be seen on the horizon it appears to be clouded by boxes as yep, you guessed it...am moving again.

Packing again, trouble finding things again, unboxing even tho is not xmas and more important no internet until I get it sorted in the new place and what it scares me, is that last time we moved it took Orange 1month to change the broadband to the new telephone number, I mean cmoon the future is supposed to be bright ain't it? How come it takes a whole month to do that when I bet they just push few buttons on the keyboard and that's it.

The not so bad thing about now moving is that new place is about 35minutes from current location so we'll be there in no time and hopefully I'll manage so that the removal people will arrive the next day so we can set up everything fast.

About the 1theme/month membership am still thinking about a reasonable solution for me and for the actual members, but as i was quite busy this month...the September theme is almost done and if all goes as smooth as it did so far, i will post the theme few days earlier prior to the packing because in this case its better sooner then later.

The last "not so bad" thing is the place where we move which has amazing scenery as you can see in the picture above...come on admit you want to be there :). Anyway hope everything will go better then the last relocation when idiots broke my glass desk and broke my computer (Amen for the Apple Care) and didn't cost anything to have it fixed.
